Overview The Wireless Frequency Manager is the in-house frequency coordination notebook for the AV team at Renasant Convention Center. It provides a single shared view of all wireless microphone frequency assignments across your four Shure frequency bands, built on top of the coordination work done in Wireless Workbench 7. **What it does:** - Displays all available and in-use frequencies across four bands (G50, H50, G1, G57+) - Allows technicians to assign, edit, and release frequencies with Lav and Handheld labels - Warns when frequencies are too close together (within 300 kHz) to help prevent RF interference - Imports coordination reports from Wireless Workbench 7 to keep the frequency list current - Exports assigned frequencies back to a format that can be loaded into Wireless Workbench 7 - Provides a full change log of every assignment, edit, and release - Allows notes to be attached to any frequency for reference by the whole team - Syncs in real time across all connected devices — no refresh needed - Supports guest (view-only) access for third-party providers and clients **What it is not:** - Not a replacement for Wireless Workbench. Frequency coordination must still be done in WWB7. The app displays and manages the results of that coordination. - Not an intermodulation calculator. Coordination is imported; the app only warns about 300 kHz adjacency. --- ## 2. Accessing the App The app runs entirely in a web browser. No installation is required. - Open Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge - Navigate to https://prestige.avmemphis.com/wireless - The login screen appears immediately The app works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Landscape orientation is recommended on phones when viewing multiple frequency bands. --- ## 3. Authentication ### Registering an Account 1. On the login screen, click the **Register** tab 2. Main Interface — Frequency Bands After signing in, the main screen shows four frequency band sections arranged in a grid. ### The Four Bands | Band | Frequency Range | WWB Group | TV Channels | Max Assignments | |---|---|---|---|---| | G50 | 507–517 MHz | 1 | 14–24 | 14 | | H50 | 548–554 MHz | 9 | 24–35 | 18 | | G1 | 506–511 MHz | 2 | 14–23 | 7 | | G57+ | 506–615 MHz | 5 | 14–38 | 55 | Each band section shows: - The band name and frequency range - A counter showing how many frequencies are currently assigned (e.g., **3 of 14 Sets**) - A "band full" notice when the maximum is reached - A list of all available frequencies in that band, in ascending MHz order ### Channel Identifiers Each frequency is identified one of two ways: - **Channel-based** — displayed as `Ch 35 · 507.150 MHz`. The channel number matches the Wireless Workbench channel assignment. - **Standalone** — displayed as `Standalone · 471.225 MHz`. These are frequencies imported from WWB that don't match a standard channel number. --- ## 7. Reading Frequency Cards Each frequency appears as a card in its band section. ### Available Frequency ``` [ Available ] Ch 35 · 507.150 MHz [ Assign ] [ Add Note ] ``` A green "Available" badge means the frequency is unassigned and can be used. ### Assigned Frequency ``` [ In Use ] Ch 35 · 507.150 MHz Lav: Lav 1 HH: HH 1 Assigned by J. Smith · Mar 25 11:45 AM [ Edit ] [ Release ] [ Edit Note ] ``` An "In Use" badge means the frequency is currently assigned. It shows who assigned it, when, and the Lav and Handheld labels. ### Conflict / Nearby Warning If a frequency is within 300 kHz of another **assigned** frequency, both cards show: ``` ⚠ Within 300 kHz of: 507.400 MHz ``` Cards in conflict are highlighted with a red border. See [Section 16](#16-adjacency--interference-warnings) for details. --- ## 8. Assigning a Frequency 1. Find an available frequency in the appropriate band 2. Click **Assign** 3. If the frequency is within 300 kHz of an already-assigned frequency, a warning is displayed — review it before proceeding 4. Enter a **Lav label** (e.g., `Lav 1`, `Podium`, `Presenter A`) 5. Enter a **Handheld label** (e.g., `HH 1`, `Floor`, `Backup`) 6. Click **Confirm** or press **Enter** The frequency immediately shows as "In Use" for all connected users. > Both label fields are required. The labels are free-form — use whatever naming convention your team has established. --- ## 9. Editing an Assignment 1. Click **Edit** on an assigned frequency card 2. The current labels are pre-filled 3. Modify the Lav label, Handheld label, or both 4. Click **Confirm** or press **Enter** The edit is logged in the change log with the previous and updated labels. --- ## 10. Releasing a Frequency 1. Click **Release** on an assigned frequency card 2. A confirmation dialog shows the current assignment details 3. Click **Yes, Release** to confirm The frequency immediately becomes available again. This action is logged in the change log. There is no undo — if you release by mistake, you must re-assign manually. --- ## 11. Frequency Notes Notes can be attached to any frequency — whether assigned or not. Notes are visible to all users (including View Only accounts) and persist through assignments and releases. ### Adding a Note 1. Click **Add Note** on any frequency card 2. Type your note (no character limit; multi-line is supported) 3. Click **Save Note** or press **Enter** ### Editing a Note 1. Click **Edit Note** on a frequency card that has a note 2. Modify the text 3. Click **Save Note** ### Clearing a Note 1. Click **Edit Note** 2. Click **Clear Note** 3. Confirm to remove **Useful note examples:** - `Known dropout past 100ft from stage — use backup` - `Assigned to handheld with battery issue — watch level` - `Backup freq for G50 Ch 35 if interference on main` - `Third-party provider uses this band — confirm before assigning` --- ## 12. Importing a Wireless Workbench Report When you receive an updated frequency coordination from Wireless Workbench 7, import it to update the frequency list for the whole team. ### Exporting from Wireless Workbench 7 In WWB7, export a coordination report as a `.csv` file. The app parses this file to determine which frequencies should be available in each band. ### Importing into the App 1. Click **Import WWB Report** in the header 2. Click the file input and select your `.csv` file 3. The app parses the file and shows a preview: - **Green +X added** — new frequencies being added to the list - **Red −X removed** — frequencies being removed - **No changes** — that band is unchanged 4. If any frequencies being removed are currently assigned, they are listed as warnings — review these carefully 5. Click **Update Frequencies** to apply The update is applied in real time for all connected users. The import is recorded in the change log. > **Important:** If an imported report removes a frequency that is currently assigned, that assignment will be cleaned up automatically. Re-assign to a different frequency as needed. --- ## 13. Exporting Frequencies for Wireless Workbench Use this to send your current frequency assignments to a third-party provider, or to load them back into Wireless Workbench 7. 1. Click **Export for WWB** in the header 2. The export modal shows each band and how many frequencies are currently assigned 3. Click **Download .txt** next to any band to download that band's assigned frequencies ### File Format - **Filename:** `RCC-[BAND]-[DATE].txt` (e.g., `RCC-G50-2026-03-25.txt`) - **Contents:** One frequency per line in MHz, no headers ``` 507.150 514.175 515.050 ``` This format can be imported directly into Wireless Workbench 7 or shared with other coordination software. --- ## 14. Printing & Posting Reports The app generates two printable reports, both opened from buttons in the top-right header. Each opens in a new browser tab and automatically brings up the print dialog — from there you can print to paper or save as PDF. Both reports are available to **all** users, including View Only accounts. > If nothing happens when you click a report button, your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for this site and click again. ### Print Report — Assignments Only Click **Print Report** to generate a clean list of only the **in-use** frequencies, grouped by band. Each row shows the channel, MHz, Lav and Handheld labels, who assigned it and when, any note, and any adjacency conflict. Use this when you need a record of what is currently assigned — for example, a paperwork handoff or a coordination summary for an RF coordinator. ### Print Roster — In Use + Available Click **Print Roster** to generate a complete roster of **every coordinated frequency** in each band, showing its current status: | Status | Meaning | |---|---| | **In Use** | Assigned — shows the Lav and Handheld labels | | **Available** | Open to assign | | **Nearby** | Within 300 kHz of an active frequency — avoid | Each band heading shows a summary (`X in use · Y available · Z nearby · N max`) and a **BAND FULL** flag when the band has reached its maximum number of assignments. A legend at the top explains the three statuses, and the Available rows are lightly shaded so open frequencies stand out at a glance. This report is designed to be **printed and posted** at the audio position or RF coordination table, so the whole team can see at a glance which frequencies are taken and which are open. > **Tip:** Re-print and re-post the roster whenever assignments change during setup so the posted copy stays accurate. > **Note:** On narrow phone-width screens (≤640px), the header's Import, Export, Print Report, and Print Roster buttons are hidden to save space. Use a tablet or computer to generate reports. --- ## 15. Change Log The change log is a complete audit trail of every assignment, edit, and release. ### Viewing the Log Scroll to the bottom of the main screen. Click **Show** to expand the log. The most recent entries appear at the top. The log shows the last 60 entries. Each entry shows: - The action taken (`assigned`, `edited`, or `released`) - The band, channel, and MHz of the affected frequency - The Lav and Handheld labels (and previous labels for edits and releases) - The name of the user who made the change - The date and time ### Who Can See the Log Only editors can view the change log. View-only users do not have access. ### What Is Tracked - All frequency assignments - All label edits - All releases - WWB report imports (who imported and when) --- ## 16. Adjacency & Interference Warnings ### The 300 kHz Rule The app warns when any two frequencies are within **300 kHz (0.300 MHz)** of each other. This spacing is considered the minimum safe distance to avoid RF interference between wireless systems. **Example:** - 507.150 MHz and 507.400 MHz are **250 kHz apart** → flagged as adjacent - 507.150 MHz and 507.500 MHz are **350 kHz apart** → safe, no warning ### Where Warnings Appear - **On the frequency card** — a "Nearby" badge and a warning listing the nearby assigned frequencies - **In the Assign modal** — a prominent warning before you confirm the assignment - **As a conflict** — when two *assigned* frequencies are adjacent, both cards are highlighted in red ### How to Respond - When possible, choose a frequency with more spacing - Conflict highlighting is visual only — the assignment is not blocked - In time-critical situations, you may accept the conflict and monitor audio quality - If interference occurs during setup, release one of the conflicting frequencies and re-assign to a safer option --- ## 17. Real-Time Collaboration All data is stored in Firebase and syncs across all connected devices in real time. There is no need to refresh the page. - When one technician assigns a frequency, everyone else sees it within 1–2 seconds - Multiple editors can work simultaneously without conflicts - If your device goes offline, you will not be able to make changes until reconnected — reconnecting restores the current state automatically --- ## 18. Common Workflows ### Setting Up for an Event 1. Receive the WWB7 coordination report from your RF coordinator 2. Log in as an editor 3. Click **Import WWB Report**, select the CSV, review changes, and confirm 4. For each frequency needed, click **Assign**, enter Lav and Handheld labels, and confirm 5.
